Handforth Parish Council nemesis Jackie Weaver, Songs of Praise host Pam Rhodes and local author Christina James are just some of the names heading to the Deepings Literary Festival.
It’s due to run from April 27 and May 1 in and around the Deepings with Bookmark in Spalding involved has brochures as does the South Holland Centre.
A spokesman for the festival said: “Following the enormous success of the first Deepings Literary Festival in 2017, the organisers have prepared the next sensational ‘weekend of wordcraft’, running from 28th April – 2nd May 2022.
“The Festival programme will be enjoyed at venues throughout The Deepings, with a fabulous mix of entertaining and informative sessions across each of the four days.
“The pandemic has seen the actual Literary Festival postponed until 2022 but be assured that there is a packed programme of authors ready and waiting to inspire and delight you next year. In the meantime the exciting opportunity to engage with a worldwide audience via Zoom has been grasped with both hands – be sure to follow us on facebook to see the exciting programme of events that are planned for 2021.”
The festival’s Ann Taylor, said: “Bookmark are selling the authors’ books for us and we are delighted to be able to support such a valuable member of Spalding’s wide range of independent shops.
“With authors such as Jackie Weaver, Pam Rhodes, Neil Spring and Louise Candlish (of Our House currently on ITV), there is an author and book for all tastes.
“Set in various venues in the Deepings and in the beautiful grounds of Molecey Mill, this is the festival we have waited three years for!”
