There was a big shock in Division Two of the Spalding and DIstrict Snooker League on Thursday night as Division Two leaders Sutton Bridge A were handed a 5-1 home reverse by Boundary B.
Frame victories from Mick Walker (O35), Dougie Lythgoe (O21), Shaun Ketteringham (O14) and Steve Walker (R7) did the job for the Deepings side, as table-topping Bridge tasted defeat for only the fourth time this season.
Ketteringham also starred with a 22 clearance as his side edged clear of the bottom three.
Second-placed Bourne SC C cut the gap at the top by three points after they won 4-2 at third-placed Services B.
In a top tussle that ended up going to the final frame, Adam Braybrook (O7) saw off Alan Hansard (scr) to seal it for the Bourne side.
For Services, Jason Rose (O28) shone with a 39 break as he won the first frame.
The big winners of the week in Division Two were Bourne SC B, who dispatched visitors Services E 6-0.
All on winning form were Jake Mitchell (O28), Mark Stoker (scr), Gary Surridge (O7), Pete Smith (scr) and Nick Cunnington (O7).
Also winning were Consti F and Donington B, who defeated Gosberton A and Consti H 4-2 respectively.
Up in Division One, leaders Pyramid A continue to impress after handing hosts Holbeach D a 5-1 beating.
In a fairly routine victory, Norman Vaughan (O14) sealed the success in frame four.
Elsewhere, Bren Bowman (O56) produced the performance of the week as his Consti E side defeated Consti B 4-2.
He made a superb 60 break en-route to defeating John Christian (R7) 101-77.
Also 4-2 winners were Consti G, who edged out hosts Pyramid D.
Joe Garland (scr) impressed with a 23 break as he clinched the match with a win in the penultimate frame.
Bagging maximum points, however, were Services A as they saw off Services C 6-0.
A 22 clearance from Vince Fitter (O35), Martin Spencer’s (O21) 28 break and Chris Dunmore’s (O28) 21 break were the highlights.
Down in Division Three, the top four teams all won by the same 4-2 margin as the title race continues to excite.
Leaders Pyramid B got the better of Donington D to remain ahead, with Lester Gaunt (O49) making a 23 break before
Richard Clark (O7) sealed the win on the final black of frame four.
Still level on points with them are Consti I, who shaded a close clash all-club affair against Consti J.
The final frame proved crucial here, with David Twelves (O14) getting the job done for the high-fliers.
Earlier in the match, Consti J’s Nev Vickers (R7) kept his fine winning run going despite being 44 points behind against John Bellerby (R7) with just the colours left.
One point back in third, Gosberton B crept past friendly foes Gosberton D 4-2 with Chris Mumby (R14) sealing the win on the final black.
Brad Brinkman (O14) shone with breaks of 30 and 24 for the beaten D side.
A further point back are Whittlesey A, who completed the run of 4-2 wins by seeing off club-mates Whittlesey B.
This was decided in frame four, with Graeme Sawyer (O14) getting the key win.
Two points behind the top four in fifth, Services D remain in the picture after a 4-2 win at Gosberton C.
Mark Howlett’s (O14) 20 break and Tanya Peel’s (scr) final frame win turned that game on its head.

Consti A progressed against rivals Holbeach B by the barest of margins (560-557) in a real cracker.
Although Holbeach won two frames, a big victory from Alan Hansard (R70) –who made a 24 break – in the opening frame proved key.
Also through are Donington, who saw off hosts Gosberton B 510-434.
Tony Scully (R60) was the star of the show for the away side, making breaks of 35 and 25 as he defeated Shane White (O40) by a huge 200-34 margin.
It was a tough defeat to take for Marcus Pell (O30), with the Gosberton B cue ace bagging breaks of 55 and 35 as he beat Ben Wrigglesworth (R40) in the final frame.
