Further help for business is available from South Holland District Council.
The Recovery and Growth Grant Fund re-opened for new applications from businesses on Tuesday (Nov 23).
The grants are aimed at helping local businesses recover from the impact of COVID-19 and to invest in future growth.
The scheme was originally opened in August and had a ‘fantastic response’ before closing four weeks later when more than £1m was allocated to support 128 businesses in the district.
The new tranche of funding, of around £170,000, will give businesses which missed out another chance to apply.
The money will be available for both capital and revenue grants, with amounts on offer of between £1,000 and £25,000. The grants will be a maximum contribution of 50 per cent (match funded) towards purchases by local companies.
Money can be used for a number of purposes including training and development of staff, business advice or consultancy, renovating shop fronts, innovations to help business adapt post-COVID or development of a new product or service.
“I am delighted that we have been able to reopen this fund to give South Holland’s businesses another opportunity to access this vital support for them and the district,” said Coun Nick Worth, deputy leader and portfolio holder for people, places and economy.
“We want to help our economy to thrive and to encourage our businesses to invest, develop and come back stronger than ever before following the challenges of the pandemic.
“I would encourage anyone who thinks they may be able to benefit from the funding to explore the guidance and apply as soon as they can,” he added.
