Jazz quartet brings Joy to South Holland

Pianist, singer and composer Joy Ellis finally comes to the South Holland Centre tonight (Thursday, November 4).

The London based musician accompanied by her quartet of Pedro Velasco on guitar; Amy Baldwin on double bass; and Adam Osmianski on drums play the Spalding venue in a rescheduled date.

The tour was originally meant to be in support of her second album ‘Dwell’ released in December 2019.

A spokesman for the South Holland Centre said: “Following the release of her debut album entitled ‘Life On Land’ in 2017, Joy has spent the past couple of years touring the UK performing her original music at various venues and festivals including Manchester, Cheltenham and London Jazz Festivals.

“Her second album ‘Dwell’ continues to explore her passion for jazz and improvisation, love of groove and dance music, her classical roots as a pianist and the soulful, poetic aspects of being a singer-songwriter.”

Tickets cost £14, £13 concessions and £7.50 for under 26s.
