A charity tractor run in South Holland has helped two animal charities.

The first run for more than a year saw a bumper amount of 50 tractors take to the roads on Sunday for a trip around South Holland.

With every shape, age and size of tractor represented, £700 was raised for the Dogs Trust and the Cats Protection League.

Organised by Bill and Carol Shaw, of Gedney, the run left Jack Buck Farms in Moulton Seas End for a 33-mile circular trip.

Mr Shaw is the chairman of the Case IH Club UK and vehicles ranging in age from the 1950s to a recent demonstrator all took part.

Mrs Shaw said everyone had been very happy to see each other after a year of not being able to take part in any events.

A tractor run is also being planned for August 1 setting off from, and raising money for, Moulton Mill.
