Artists create poppy homage

A group of South Holland artists have joined forces to create a piece of artwork marking Remembrance Sunday.

The Artists Incorporated group in Pinchbeck chose to use the poppy as theme for eight individual pieces which were put together to form the picture.

The group usually meets at the Pinchbeck Hub and has been in existence for around five years.

The artwork they created specially for the annual Armistice commemoration will be on show in the hub, but it was unclear at the time of going to press if it would be staying open during the latest lockdown.

“We have been able to meet over Zoom for a natter so will possibly go back to that,” said member Jon Healey.

Each artist chose their own medium for the collaborative piece, from acrylics to watercolour.
