Hare coursers face long trip back

Four people who had their car and dogs confiscated because they were hare coursing in South Holland had travelled from Blackpool.

Lincolnshire Police were called to North Drove, near Tongue End, at 10.15am on Saturday, October 24.

Dogs were also confiscated as a result of the incident.

A statement from PCSO Colin Abbotts, of Spalding North Rural, sent out via the Neighbourhood Watch scheme said: “Officers responded to a hare coursing incident at Tongue End.

“Result one vehicle seized, four dogs confiscated and four males reported.

“It’s a long walk back to Blackpool!”

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman added: “Our officers attended a report of hare coursing at around 10.15am on October 24 in North Drove.

“They located a jeep with four men occupants plus dogs.

“The vehicle and four dogs were seized and all four occupants reported for summons.”
