Schools in Spalding have put out warnings over safety amid alleged reports of students being approached by strangers.
Spalding Academy and East Pinchbeck Primary School have released a warning to parents this afternoon.
The Voice has approached Lincolnshire Police for more details on any related incidents in the town, but has yet to receive a response.
The warnings have come from schools.
Spalding Academy executive deputy headteacher Mr Sinclair said in an email to parents: “We have received information that this morning there was an incident that some students from a local school were being followed by a stranger.
“The location was Holbeach Road, which is close to our school site.
“The police are investigating, but we would ask that during your child’s journey home tonight and importantly also over the weekend, your child is extra vigilant and if possible they do not walk home alone, preferably in pairs or small groups of less than six.
“This is not to alarm you or create worry, your child’s safety is always our priority.”
In an email entitled Stranger Danger, a Pinchbeck East Primary School spokesman said: ““We have heard a report from a concerned member of the public regarding a white transit van with a male occupant who has been approaching children.
“Please be extra vigilant and make sure your child is near to you on your journey to and from school.”
On September 29 parents of Ayscoughfee Hall school were sent a similar warning over a man in a white van who allegedly asked young people from another school to go and look at a classic car.
