LETTERS – Exercise ban will not compute

I understand that the Health Secretary is thinking about a total ban on exercising because of the small minority of irresponsible people who choose to ignore the rule.

I would strongly council against this. If the government are not able to force a small minority of people to comply, what chance will they have of controlling the vast majority of the population who would strongly object to a no exercise law.

That step would be irresponsible and not conducive to good health management for a locked down population.

The other suggestions about limiting exercise to once a day is also pointless and unenforceable.

Governments should not attempt to punish the law abiding majority because of the wrong doing of a small minority. That will simply not compute.
