LETTERS – £500 boost for Kindness Group

I have earmarked an initial £500 from my Lincolnshire county councillor’s fund for the Spalding and Pinchbeck Covid Kindness Group.

The generosity of local firms is astounding and I am humbled by the support the team is receiving.

I have been working for them packing and delivering care bags and fruit in the areas they cover.

The volunteer committee have worked tirelessly over the last three weeks to set up this group and they are doing a marvellous job.

Pinchbeck Parish Council allowing them to use the Pinchbeck Community Hub and Library site to receive, sort, pack and deliver the donations has been a massive help.

When we look back on these dark days of fear, worry and concern over the spread of COVID-19 in 2020 I know we will remember the Kindness group and their awesome hard work and efforts to help support the communities of Spalding and Pinchbeck especially those residents who are self isolating and vulnerable.
