5-1 wins for the top tier Consti teams

It was a good week for two of the Consti teams in Division One of the Spalding and District Snooker League as they both won 5-1.

Bottom-of-the-league Consti E got their second win of the season, getting the better of Pyramid D, thanks to wins from Simon Law (scr), Sean Jeynes (o14), James Kingston (o35) and Jack Chilvers (o28).

James Sharpe (o49) was the only winner for Pyamid.

Clubmates Consti H also had a good win, beating Services A.
Frame wins from Jon Houldershaw (r14), Mark German (o28), Doug Garfoot (o28) and Adam Mayman (o28) have put them in fourth place.

Kev Emerson (r14) beat Seb Grimston (o28) in the final frame to salvage a point for Services.
League leaders Pyramid C beat Gosberton A 4-2, while second-placed Boundary A also got a 4-2 win at home to Pyramid F, leaving a 13-point gap at the top.

Holbeach C came away from Donington C with a 4-2 win. Victories on the night came from Dan Ashton (o7), Paul Ashton (r14) and Mark Gregory (o28).

Donington’s winners were Lee Hempsall (o14) and Neil Favell (o21).
Services C took on friendly foe Services D with the D team coming out on top winning 4-2.

Joely Shears (r7), Alan Day (r21) and Ian Smith (r7) were the winners.

A 6-0 win for Holbeach E over Pyramid E has seen them go one point clear at the top of Division Two.

It’s tight at the top though, with Consti F, Holbeach A, Pyramid A and Holbeach B all on 36 points.
Consti F beat Holbeach B 5-1, thanks to wins from Martyn Stanley (r14) twice, Bryan Turnell (r14) and Robert Adams (o7).

Holbeach A lost 4-2 to Donington A.

Pyramid B are now in sixth place following a 4-2 win over Whittlesey A.

Wins from Carl Kelham (r7), Dennis Pearson (scr) and Darren Hibbins (o7) gave Pyramid the match.
Gosberton D got a good 5-1 win over Whittlesey C.

Paul Cook (o21) was the sole winner for Whittlesey.

Services B are in seventh place after a 4-2 home win over Holbeach F.

Andy Neal (r7), Jeff Collins (scr) and Alan Hansard (scr) got the wins for Services.

Holbeach G are three points clear at the top of Division Three after a 6-0 whitewash of Consti I.

The winning team consisted Dave Willy (o21), Ben Harding (o42), John Dawson (o21), Stuart Sullivan (o28) and Ian Woodberry (r7).

Harding knocked in a 44 break on his way to a win over John Bellerby (r14).

Consti B are in second place, they beat clubmates Consti J 4-2.

Wins came from John Christian (r7), Martin Fear (o7) and John Keeton (o7).

The J team’s winners were Trevor Braybrook (r21) and Nev Vickers (r14).

Boundary B are in third despite losing 4-2 to Whittlesey B.

Boundary got off to a good start with wins from Mick Goddard (o7) and Rich Wilson (o14) but Whittlesey hit back thanks to Andy Skutela (r14), Kay Skutela (r28) and Michael Foster (o14).

Gosberton C are in fourth place after beating Consti D 5-1.

The winners for Gosberton were Chris Sibley (r14), James Elliot (o14), Stuart Tamplin (r7) and Mark Payne (o14).
Ray Digby (r28) got the solitary point for Consti.

Gosberton B started well in their home fixture against Consti C with wins from Nigel Goodwin (r14) and Warren Driver (r21), but it was downhill from then on as Consti pulled it back thanks to victories for Terry George (r14), Steve Crane (scr) and Kevin Sweeney (r7).

The win lifts Consti to second-from-bottom, although last placed Donington B didn’t have a match.
Consti A beat Donington D 4-2.
