While Spalding and Holbeach were conceding last-gasp goals to drop points, Pinchbeck United scored one to secure their own 2-2 draw in Division One of the United Counties League.
The Knights travelled to Yorkshire side Swallownest with a squad of just 13 players due to injuries and suspensions and then suffered a setback in the warm-up when Ollie O’Connor turned his ankle. He managed to play for 50 minutes with heavy strapping before being substituted.
Elliot Foster saw a second minute long-range shot saved before the hosts took the lead midway through the first half.
It was 2-0 in the opening stages of the second half but Pinchbeck battled back well.
JJ Ward had a 30-yard effort well saved before pulling one back with 13 minutes to go from just inside the penalty area.
Then in the fourth minute of stoppage time, new loan signing Callum Hill, snapped up from Newark Town in midweek, delivered a perfect cross for Charlie Brooks to head in the equaliser.
Knights: Martin, Keating, Hill, O’Connor (Akyüz), Eyes, Brooks, Panton, Foster, Slater, Cullen (Makaka), Ward.
Attendance: 120.
