Week three of the Dewhursts Trophies Pinchbeck & District Summer League produced several big wins across all three divisions.
In Division A, defending champions Lincoln Arms A delivered an impressive 21-6 home victory over Kirton Leisure. Jon Young produced a 134 checkout and a 15-dart leg, while John Charlton added a 17-dart leg. Sam Roberts and Paul Blow recorded an 18-dart leg in their pairs game.
For the visitors, Nathan Hill struck a 180 and Mark Sellars was the only singles winner, beating Dean Murray 2-1. Royal Mail Cart enjoyed a strong 20-7 away win at the Green Dragon A. Jack Chilvers was in excellent form with legs of 14 and 17 darts in his 3-0 singles win and, with partner Jason Vines, added a 17-dart leg in the pairs. Chris Fidler also hit a 17-dart leg for Mail Cart.
The Dragon’s only singles success came from Scott Williams, who beat Josh Ford 2-1. Both players hit 180s, with Williams also producing an 18-dart leg. Williams and Tim Hester added a 15-dart leg in their 2-1 pairs win.
Leaders Tigers Club won 17-10 at Consti Club C. Claire Brookin hit an 18-dart leg and a 102 checkout and, with partner Jayden Lee, added an 18-dart leg in the pairs. Lee also struck a 180. Ash Allen produced a 101 finish for the Tigers. Consti’s Harry Faulkner hit a 180 in his 2-1 defeat to Lacie Brookin.
The closest match of the night saw Services Club B edge a 14-13 home win over Pinchbeck FC. B. With the game tied at 12-12, Ady Smith held his nerve to beat John Mackenzie 2-1 in the final singles. Jonny Pell hit a 180 and had a 146 checkout for the Services.
In Division B, leaders Consti Club B extended their advantage with a 20-7 home win over Consti Club D. The D team’s only singles winner was Nick Collins, who beat Matt Broderick 2-1 in the final game.
Lincoln Arms D claimed a narrow 14-13 win at Drayman’s Arms B, thanks to Luke Rhodes securing the all-important leg in his 2-1 loss to Phil Newton, who finished with a 105 checkout.
Connor Newton hit a 180 and a 140 checkout for Drayman’s, while Kev Newton produced a 16-dart leg. Tony Spinks struck a 180 for the Lincoln.
Green Dragon Z won 15-12 at Pinchbeck FC A, helped by a 2-1 final singles win for Callum Day, who included a 180 in his victory over Josh Burton.
Consti Club Z recorded a 17-10 home win against Drayman’s Arms Q, with Jason Chilvers hitting a 180 for the Drayman’s.
In Division C, early leaders Pinchbeck FC C continued their strong start with a convincing 20-7 home win over Green Dragon C. Leam Dawson hit a 180 for the Football Club, while Jamie Balding produced an 18-dart leg for the Dragon.
Lincoln Arms C were the biggest winners, taking a 22-5 victory at Drayman’s Arms A. The home side’s only success came from Kieran Twitchen, who beat Trev Wright 2-1 in their singles match.
