You can Bank on the Jimmy Floyd lads to set early Voice League pace

Newly-named Jimmy Floyd Bottlebank are the surprise early pace-setters in The Spalding and South Holland Voice League’s Premier Division after another night of awesome action at Glen Park on Monday.

Formerly known as Notinmymum’s Forest, the Bottlebank lads saw off a downtrodden Univeg Team 1-0 to make it two wins from two, with six goals scored and none against.

Man-of-the-match (MOTM) Daniel Bergin was the main man for Bottlebank as they made it five on the spin (including last season).

You’ve Got No Fans then smashed AFC Supernova 6-0, but the scoreline was harsh on the Supernova lads, who gave a good account of themselves.

Cameron Walker was MOTM as he scored four, with each one coming from a nut-meg as he rubbed salt into the Supernova wounds.

Match three in the top tier was a 5-0 win for Polishborough after they were drawn to play the division’s points game.

The final game in the top tier was a thrilling and slightly ill-tasting game as The Predators fought off a late comeback from Football Club to win 3-2.

The Football Club lads, who had Cameron Cope sent off for foul or abusive language at 3-0 down, while Jordan Clow was MOTM for Predators.

The Championship got under way with Horse and Groom succumbing 5-1 to Puyol Pants Down.

Last year’s Division Two winners Puyol continue to impress as they built on last week’s win to make it two from two and sit second in the table. Ollie Coulam was their MOTM.

Romasexuals then lost 2-0 to newbies Maly & Team, who were delighted to kick-start their campaign with a win. Wojciech Koszczuk was MOTM in this one.

Game three was a seven-goal thriller, won 4-3 by early league leaders Posh Old Boys as they beat Simple FC.

The defeat is Simple’s fifth on the trot, while Martin Ward grabbed MOTM.

The final game in The Championship was a 2-1 win for Nibblesborough FC over Pathetic Athletic, with all goals coming in the first half.

Harry Ledger was MOTM as Borough picked up their first win of the season.

League One, meanwhile, got under way with a thrilling 3-2 win for Dynamo Kiev over rock-bottom Mail Carters.

Ben Paterson snatched MOTM for Kiev.

FC Salad continue to set the benchmark in the third tier as they followed on from last week’s 6-0 with a 5-0 demolition of Bowlcut Wanderers FC.
They had Brandon Harker as MOTM this week.

Next up, Tekkerslovakia maintained their perfect form with a narrow 1-0 win over How Far Can Swim? – who continue to improve week-on-week. Matt O’Brien was the MOTM.

The action rounded off with ABCDE FC, or more specifically Marcus Gilbertson, enjoying free-reign over Loftus-Cheeky Nando’s as they romped to a 4-2 win. Andrew Sculthorpe was also clever with his midfield display as he assisted Gilbertson in finishing off the Nando’s lads.
