Yoga studio helping flood victims

Spalding-based Padma Yoga is set to continue its fundraising efforts into 2016 starting this Saturday.

Hosting a morning of Warming Winter Yoga in aid of the Calderdale Flood Relief Fund, studio owner Claire Thomas is hoping to raise around £250 for the people of Calderdale who recently experienced some of the worst flooding on record.

The total donation will be matched by government funding and details of the workshop can be found on www.padmayogastudio.co.uk/workshops-2/

Claire is also collecting decorating materials to help those affected redecorate their homes.

The studio, based in the Ladies Room of Spalding Constitutional Club on Broad Street, will act as the collection point.

Claire is collecting full or nearly full tins of paint, paint trays, rollers, paintbrushes, caulk and caulk guns, wallpaper, paste and brushes and folding decorating tables.

If you have any items you would like to donate they can be left in the porch at the studio.

Donations will be accepted until March 4.
