Sophie McFie from the Spalding branch of the Mark Farnham Schools of Tae Kwon-Do returned from the World Championships with a medal.
The cadet girl fighter won bronze in black belt sparring at the Coventry Sky Dome.
Sixteen fighting areas ran throughout the three-day tournament, which saw more than 2,000 competitors, 400 officials and well over 2,000 spectators attending the event.
After months of heavy preparation, 33 students from the Farnham schools took part – with pattern, sparring, destruction, team pattern and team sparring events on offer.
Farnham said: “To win any award at this event is a very serious achievement, to be the best in the world.
“Our students gained 19 awards at the event, including two world champions and a huge haul of medals.
“Very well done to all the students.”
