Woman’s thanks for walk support

A Weston woman has raised over £1,000 for research into the rare condition she struggles with.

Jo Moxon now struggles to do day-to-day tasks due to Scleroderma & Raynaud’s UK (SRUK) the chronic disease of the blood vessels, connective tissue and immune system.

The latter becomes overactive and attacks healthy tissue within the body.

Previous to her diagnosis with both conditions, she’d been healthy and now wants to continue to live as such as much as possible.

So she set a goal of walking 19 miles something she completed recently.

“It was incredibly challenging and the following few days certainly took there toll,” Jo said. “Regardless of that it’s been achieved.”

“I really wanted to thank everyone who donated and all the positive messages I’ve received.

“It’s great to successfully raise awareness and money for research.”

Jo has also thanked her family, including husband Chris and sons Tom and Will, and friends for their support.

“They’ve been there supporting and encouraging me as I navigate a new way of life,” she said.
