Ben Wilson returns to British Superbike Championship action this weekend – at one of his favourite tracks.

Following the long break to make way for the North West 200 and Isle of Man TT road race, the series rolls into the Snetterton track in Norfolk.

The action begins on Friday with two sessions of free practice at 10.10am and 2.35pm, followed by a further free practice on Saturday at 10.35am.

The three stage qualifying session is on Saturday afternoon, the outcome of which will decide the grid for the first race on Sunday.

A 15-minute warm up is on Sunday at 9.30am in preparation for the first 16-lap race at 1.30pm. The second affair is scheduled to start at 4.30pm.

Kirton ace Wilson goes into the race tenth in the rider standings on 20 points.

  • Young Kirton rider Aaron Clarke is bidding to continue his impressive form at the next round of the National Superstock 600 championship at Snetterton over the weekend.

Following his strong showing at Donington Park in the last round, the 18-year-old is brimming with confidence.

Clarke has ridden at the Norfolk track in the past and is eager to return to see if he can improve his times and race result.

He said: “This year is a huge learning curve for me as I have made the step up from club racing.

“The times that some of the top guys are posting are unbelievably fast and I have a way to go before I get up there.

“But the more I race with them, the quicker I will go so let’s see how I progress throughout the year.

“I have already increased my speed considerably and there is much more to come. It’s just a matter of time and practice.”

The Superstock 600 timetable is: Friday – free practice (11.05am) and first qualifying (3.30pm);  Saturday – final qualifying (12.10pm); Sunday – morning warm up (9am), 12-lap race (12.10pm).
