Willy Wonka ball a sweet success

More than 400 people made the 2015 Willy Wonka-themed Kidney Research Ball a sweet success.
Held at Spalding’s Springfields Events Centre, guests were welcomed to the venue by members of Diamondz Dance Group dressed as characters from Willy Wonka.
They also performed a dance routine and guests were further entertained during the evening by live music from Crazy Ape and The Lovettes.
A sweet bar proved a popular feature.
Organisers Hannah Robinson, Richard Spurr and Natalie Herring believe around £7,500 was raised this year, bringing the grand total raised from previous balls as well to more than £42,000.
Hannah, Richard and Natalie said: “We’d like to thank everybody who attended and helped us raise such a fantastic amount, to the businesses who help sponsor and support the night and to our families and friends for helping us over the last few months while we prepare for the night.”
