Weston man admits sex offences against child

A 78-year-old Weston man has admitted to historical sex offences against a child.

Tony Dabner pleaded guilty to two counts of indecent assault against the same girl while she was under 14. He admitted to touching her vagina under clothing and touching her bottom.

The offences took place between May 4, 1993 and May 3, 1999.

Dabner, of Wimberley Close, pleaded not guilty to two further charges of indecent assault on the victim during the same period.

Magistrates sitting at Boston on Wednesday declined jurisdiction. The case will next be heard at Lincoln Crown Court on February 5.

Dabner was released on unconditional bail and ordered to report to Spalding Police Station within three days to sign the sex offenders’ register.
