Warning over rogue traders offering wind damage repairs

A warning has been issued about rogue traders offering services following the recent high winds.

A “priority three” scam warning has been put out by Lincolnshire Police and PCSO Colin Abbotts of the Spalding North Rural Neighbourhood Policicing Team.

The alerts says: “After the recent storms Lincolnshire Police have had reports of rogue traders calling at properties saying that there are tiles missing off roof’s and that trees that have been damaged by the wind are  dangerous and need cutting back.

“Never give cash up front to traders who knock on your front door offering to do these jobs.

“If you have had a problem after the storms, check around for reputable tradesman for your repairs.”
