Wallis rides back for win

A favourable tail wind down the Delph made for another good evening for the Spalding Cycling Club.

Fifteen riders took on the final early season five-mile time trial and times at the top look set to be very tight this year.
Frazer Wallis hit back at previous week’s winner Matt Chappell, taking victory by just five seconds with a blistering 10:53. Chris Ward again rounded out the podium, showing strong consistency early in the season.
Dominic Brand came home fourth overall and fastest road bike with a time of 11:39. Evegeniya Brand won the women’s category with a dominant time of 12:59, with ever-improving Samantha Briffett second and debutant Louise Southgate third.
Next week sees the start of the club’s converted
10-mile championship.
