Wallis ends campaign on a high

The final five-mile time trial of the Spalding Cycling Club season saw soggy roads greet the riders and a less favourable wind.

Frazer Wallis again put on the afterburners and ended his season on a high, backing up the previous week’s win with another first place performance, 11 minutes two seconds, to beat Dominic Brand by six seconds with Chris Ward third, 11:40. Young gun Jacob Booth missed out on his debut podium with a great time of 11:58. Matt Chappell took a dominant win in the road bike category claiming fifth overall with his 12:08 beating several specialist time trial cycles.
Evgeniya Brand completed a clean sweep, winning the women’s category in 13:20. She was eighth overall, ahead of Samantha Briffett and Scarlett Ward.
