Veterans remember regiment’s fallen

A remembrance service for the 1st Parachute Squadron of the Royal Engineers was well-attended.

The names of the fallen were read at the church service in Donington on Sunday, September 23.

Outside, at the memorial beneath the Arnhem Oak, which was brought back as a sapling from the battelfield, a service was held for the internment of Lt Peter Stainforth who died in December (inset).
