Vote for youngsters to visit Birchgrove Santa

South Holland schools and nurseries can take part in a special competition to win tickets for a festive fun event.

The team at Birchgrove Garden Centre is planning an online poll to pick a group to meet Santa.

Local schools and nurseries could win 20 free tickets for youngsters to enjoy the Santa’s Grotto on Wednesday, November 28.

The visit will also include a go on the centre’s popular illusionary ride for each child who will also meet Santa.

The winning school or nursery will be the one which receives the most votes in a Facebook poll which is being launched on Monday, October 8.

Among those already signed-up are Gosberton House School, Puddleducks, Lilliputs, Honeypot, Munchkins and Sunflower Lodge.

“We would welcome more schools to join the vote – they can be added at any point before the poll closes at midnight on October 31,” said Simon Lord, manager.

“We thought it would be a great way of getting the local community to vote for their nursery or school,” he added.

Further details can be found on the Birchgrove Garden Centre Facebook page.

The centre, in Pinchbeck, is also hosting a signing event with Lord Collectables.

Customers from as far away as Cornwall are set to travel to meet Jim Shore who is famous for his Heartwood and Disney collectables.

The American has never done a signing event in the UK and is a huge name in his field.

He will be at the centre on November 3.
