Unbeaten Tulips thrash leaders

Spalding United are the last remaining unbeaten side in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Midland Division after a sensational performance saw them breeze past leaders Halesowen Town.

The Tulips’ 3-0 win moved them within three points of the West Midlands side who had won all seven of their fixtures so far this season.
In front of a fine crowd of 345, Brett Whaley’s men put in a brilliant performance with goals either side of half time sending them on their way.
The Tulips had several chances before Bradley Roly was able to bundle the ball home in first half stoppage time after Bucciero’s cross.
They doubled their lead just eight minutes after the break with Archie Jones finishing off a fine move to net his first goal for the club.
Five minutes later it was game over as James Clifton capped a man of the match performance with a brilliant shot from distance to make it 3-0.
Spalding are in action against league leaders again this Saturday as they host Stafford Rangers at the Sir Halley Stewart in the FA Trophy. They’ll be hoping to pull off an upset over a Stafford side sitting atop of the higher Northern Premier League.
