More than 100 players took part as Tydd St Giles Golf Club put on a seniors’ open charity day to support the Meadowgate school.
The fourball team Stableford event helped raise £1,360, which included income from the raffle, halfway house and 2018 men’s captain’s charity.
The winners were Peter Wheeler, Tom Brooks, Mick Vassall, and Paul Chaplain-Barton with 121 points.
Second spot went to Steve Hart, Lee Smith, Mark Cooper, and Kevin Goude (116 points), while John Gamble, Phil Whitehead, Nev Barnes, and Derek Beba (111 points) claimed third.
Nearest the pin on the eighth hole was John Whyman (Wensum Valley), on the 11th hole it was Lee Francis from (Boston) and on the 16th hole it was home favourite Kevin Goude.
The nearest lady to the pin on the 16th was Emma Norman (March).

Gedney Hill Golf Club
Kristian Roberts edged to victory in Gedney Hill Golf Club’s Professionals Open Competition.
His score of 43 Stableford points was matched by Ashley Irvine, but Roberts was the victor on countback.
Third place went the way of Robin Exley (42 points).
- Steve Sayer’s score of 86 nett was enough to earn him top spot in the seniors’ club championship at Gedney Hill. Eric Cowles (87) and David Lord (89) completed the top three.
