Two taken to hospital after Holbeach crash

An air ambulance was called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision in Holbeach.

The emergency services were called to the A151 Spalding Road around 5.10pm on Saturday.

The 24-year-old driver of a Citreon Saxo was taken to Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.

A 68-year-old woman driving a Renault Clio also suffered minor injuries in the crash.

The Lincs and Notts air ambulance was called to the scene but both patients were transferred by land ambulance.

The road was closed for around three hours until 8pm while investigators were on the scene.

Police are asking for witnesses to the crash to contact officers on 101, quoting incident 300 of April 28.

Police are continuing their crackdown on the so-called ‘Fatal Four’ – speeding, drink or drug driving, using a mobile phone and not wearing a seatbelt.
