Two golds and a silver for Spalding girls at all new regional event

Spalding Gymnastics Academy delivered double gold as they shone at their first-ever regional team gym competition.

Teams from Mickleover (Derbyshire), Hove (East Sussex), Hinckley (Leicestershire) and Harlequins (Bedfordshire) travelled to Spalding to take on the host club at their Cradge Bank base.

It was an exciting day for Spalding, with it being their first attempt at a different type of gymnastics – with disciplines including a floor routine and trampette, vault and tumble track.

The gymnasts all worked really hard to achieve the level of discipline that was required as a team, with timing and co-ordination being most critical.

At the end of the competition Spalding came away with gold in the senior team and gold in the mini team, with the youth team sealing silver.
