Tractor driver ‘failed to stop after injury accident in Pinchbeck’

A tractor driver facing three charges relating to damage to a vehicle in a road traffic accident and failing to stop has had his court case adjourned.

Peter Chapman (61), of Glenside South, Pinchbeck, is said to have committed the offences in Knight Street, Pinchbeck, on July 30, 2016.

He is charged with driving a tractor without due care and attention and, having caused injury to two people named as Liam Dawson and Dalton Sharman, not giving his name and address at the scene and not reporting the incident involving a Peugeot car to a police station within 24 hours.

Chapman was not present when the case was heard at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (May 2). It is due to be heard again at the same court on Wednesday, June 14.

A guilty plea to all three charges was indicated at a hearing on February 6.
