Top spot success

Spalding Indoor Bowls Club’s final league fixture of the season was at Boston B and ended in celebration.

Needing only three points to secure top spot in the Southern League, Spalding were dominant in a 121-51 win, 12-2 on match points. The top winning rink was skipped by Martin Simpson, with Tony Westland, Gavin Staite and Anthony Cronin, who won 32-6.
Victory booked Spalding a place in the county final, where they will play Horncastle on Saturday week at Louth.

n Horncastle & District Indoor Bowls Club hosted the ladies county semi-finals day. Spalding Lightning were well represented and will again join the men on county finals day at Sleaford on Sunday, April 27.
