Top journalist at U3A meeting

The next monthly meeting of the U3A Sutton Bridge will feature a talk from acclaimed ex-investigative news reporter Bernard Bale.

Mr Bale is a former reporter for the Daily Express, Daily Mail, Sunday Time and Mirror Group.
A spokesman for the U3A said: “Bernard is possibly the most experienced journalist still writing in this country.
“An award-winning writer with such newspapers as the Daily Express, Daily Mail, Sunday Times and the Mirror Group, he is still writing for several of those national newspapers as well others regionally and internationally. He is also a TV and radio broadcaster and has had more than 30 books published.
“His talks are never lectures but always entertaining.”
The meeting takes place at 1.30pm for a 2pm start on Tuesday, August 1 at the Long Sutton Market House.
Admission is free for U3A members and £2 for non members.
