The Spalding Marching Ambassadors are celebrating a fantastic success after taking top honours at the British Youth Band Association National Showcase.
The talented young musicians impressed judges with their energetic performance, winning the Best Visual Effect award before being crowned overall winners in the Parade Class at Derbyshire County Show.
Their winning programme featured a crowd-pleasing mix of modern and classic hits, including Get Lucky, Zombie and Sweet Child O’ Mine, showcasing both the band’s musical ability and visual presentation.
The achievement marks another proud milestone for the Spalding-based youth organisation, which continues to provide opportunities for young people to develop musical skills, confidence and teamwork.
The band is now welcoming new members aged nine and above.
No previous musical experience is required, with instruments and tuition provided for just £1 per week.
Rehearsals take place every Wednesday from 6.30pm at Spalding United Reformed Church.
