That task got all the more tougher when Moulton were reduced to 56/5 with both openers out for ducks.

114-run defeat.

Captain Rob Callaby did his best with an unbeaten 32 but fought a losing battle, with five of his colleagues out without troubling the scorers. At one stage they lost six wickets for just four runs and were all out for 66 in the 32nd over.
The home team reached their target inside 15 overs without losing a wicket.

They responded by piling up the runs, with 78 for the first wicket, 132 for the third and an unbroken 119 for the fifth, led by Matt Cawley’s unbeaten 152.
It saw them reach 341/4 in their 45 overs to set a formidable target.
Drohan (18) and Baz Keshvara (10) dug in to push Sutton to 49/2 but they then lost three wickets without improving the score and fell 269 runs short on 72.
It was a similar story for Spalding Seconds in the same division.
