Three year ban from nearly all Spalding shops for prolific thief.

A prolific thief has been banned from all retail properties in Spalding for three years.

Andrew Bullivant, 35-years, and of no fixed address, appeared at Lincoln Magistrates Court on Wednesday February 11, pleaded guilty to three offences of stealing from Lidl, Aldi and the Spar, all in Spalding.

He has been handed a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) which prevents him entering any retail premises in Spalding for the next three years.

He will be allowed to visit a designated store for groceries and prescriptions. He must also pay compensation of £276.20 covering the items he stole.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police, said: “Bullivant is a prolific shoplifter and left shop workers feeling alarmed during his offending.”

Sgt Callum Corder of South Holland’s Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “A criminal behaviour order breach has significant penalties. I notice a clear reduction in offending when these orders are granted.

“We publicise these orders and details of the individuals so that any breaches are reported.

“We act swiftly and take positive action on breaches which allows courts to decide the suitable punishment for breaching an order issued by them.”
