Three for Sutton’s Fyson

A hat-trick from Joshua Fyson helped Long Sutton Men’s 1st to a 4-1 victory over Cambridge University 3rd.
The seconds drew 2-2 at Cambridge South 4ths. Alex Canham deflected Stefan Fox’s pass past the keeper to open the scoring before an own goal levelled matters.
Keeper Alfie Bragginton made some fine saves but South pressure told to put them ahead.
But with two minutes to go Fox and Edmund White combined to find Baguley who rescued a point.
Guy Hales scored four as Sutton Men’s 3rds beat Ely City 5-2.
Two from him and a Jeremy Smith goal made it 3-0 at half time and after Ely pulled it back to 3-2, Hales netted twice more to seal the win.
Both Sutton Ladies’ sides lost 4-0.
The 1sts at Cambridge South 2nds and the seconds at home to St Ives.
The latter were undone by a series of short corners in the second half after coming up against a well marshalled St Ives defence.
