Celebrate Surfleet returned this month and proved a huge success.
The summer fete and dog show organised by volunteers including Helen Vaitkevicius provided an opportunity for people to enjoy an afternoon together and support local causes.
There were plenty of games play entertainment from local bands including The Sonics and Revolver.
One of the organisations attending was Pumpkin and Friends Charity, which used the event to raise awareness of its work supporting disabled dogs, cats and farm animals.
Visitors were also able to watch tethered hot air balloon demonstrations, which provided an unusual addition to the afternoon and attracted plenty of interest around the park.
A spokesman said: “Thank you to all who made it happen. The fete was made possible through the efforts of the Celebrate Surfleet Committee, volunteers, local businesses and sponsors, many of whom had been involved in preparing for the event over the preceding months.
“With stalls, tombolas, raffle draws and plenty of opportunities for people to catch up with friends and neighbours, the afternoon provided a relaxed community event for Surfleet and the surrounding area and community spirit.
