A relatively quiet week in the Spalding and District Table Tennis League saw a clutch of league and cup games played.
In the league, JDM’s Alan Ashberry and newcomer Brett Heppenstall took on South Holland duo John Gilbert and Richard Hammond.
It was a largely one-sided affair, as JDM proved to be too strong for their opponents and took the match 5-0.
Also in action were Nets and Edges, who played Newside’s James Quinton and Graham Walters.
Reece Kerry took a game to five ends against Graham Walters, but Newside went and took the next two games to clinch the match 4-1.
Meanwhile, South Holland also played a Guardian Cup match against Nets and Edges.
The 63-point handicap was awarded to Nets and Edges taking them from 92 points up to 155.
This proved too many for South Holland, leaving them with 118 points.
Elsewhere, Jokers’ Wesley Roper played his part of the clash with Rusty Nails – taking both of his games.
