Awards recognise our community

It’s time to get your nominations in for the people who make a brilliant difference to South Holland.

The Pride of South Holland Awards is back and looking to recognise people who go above and beyond in the district.

Organiser Jan Whitbourn said: “We need to honour and recognise the countless, tireless but rewarding hours put in by residents to make South Holland and our community a brilliant place to live.

“The Pride of South Holland Awards is your chance to give them the recognition they deserve.”

The categories for this year are: Caring Neighbour, Service With A Smile, Young Achiever, Senior Citizen, Charity Worker, Community Hero, Volunteer of the Year, Special Achievement, Community Sports Group and the Bakkavor Local Charity Champion Award.

The closing date for nominations this year is Friday, October 31.

The nominees will be invited to the awards evening which will be held at the South Holland Centre.

There is traditionally a famous guest, and last year’s presenters were ‘Allo ‘Allo actress Vicky Michelle and Peterborough United legend Barry Fry.

Nomination forms can be requested via email at: [email protected] or contact 07779 895388.
