Last week saw the second round of individual events in the Spalding and District Table Tennis League as one new champion was crowned.
This time round it was the Division One, Division Two and Veterans titles up for grabs.
Some 15 players entered from the top flight, with eight from the second and 16 contesting the Veterans.
With lower numbers, it was no surprise that the Division Two contest was completed on the night.
Top seeds Richard Matthews and Tom Chesworth reached the semis where they faced the Wallis brothers.
Matthews went through against George (11-8, 11-6, 11-5), while Chesworth beat Sam 11-5, 11-5, 9-11, 11-2.
In the final, Chesworth got off to a quick start to win the first end 11-5 and followed up with a second end of 11-6.
Matthews fought back in the third but was unable to take the tie to a fourth losing out 11-13.
Division One completed the semis but ran out of time to play the final.
Guntars Briedes faced Wesley Roper in the top half losing out 8-11, 6-11, 6-11, while in the bottom half the Appleby brothers met.
What had been forecast as a long game turned out to be over in three ends, with Andrew going through 11-7, 11-9, 11-3.
Roper also reached the final of the Veterans having beaten Briedes there as well, this time by 11-5, 6-11, 11-5, 11-3.
There he will face the winner of John Gilbert and Andrew Appleby.
On a busy night Roper had also added a further point to Joker’s lead at the top of the Division One table with a win against Underdogs.
The semi-final between Mine’s a Pint and Hurricane Brothers was also started with Jeremy Hitcham getting the Pinters off to a 33-21 lead in the first game.
In the Roy Gibson, Kelvin Preville was forced to default to Matthews (19) who will now meet Briedes (15) in the final.
