Sunday cricket: Harrox in a Rush to secure victory as Steven cracks quick-fire 47

Steven Rushworth’s rapid 47 helped Moulton Harrox Sunday beat Newborough 2nd by seven wickets in Rutland League Division Four East on Sunday.

An amazing bowling display saw Newborough knocked over for 76 in 34.3 overs, with Steve French (4-6), Ben Wood (3-14), Darren Hibbert (2-9) and Dan Grant (1-35) all doing damage.

The reply was dominated by Rushworth, who hit eight boundaries and a six in his impressive knock.

Alin Carter (4) and Jake Morton (5) went cheaply, but Lewis Martin (18 not out) saw Harrox home in the 19th over.
