LETTERS – A gate would solve the problem

I find myself agreeing with your correspondent Peter Morgan re the unwelcome travellers illegally parking on the car park of Gedney Victory Hall last week.

Yes it is worth mentioning the efforts of the local police force in clearing the site, and a well done to the volunteers for the unenviable task of cleaning up afterward.

However, I can’t help thinking that with a small outlay this problem would no longer exist.

The erection of a height sensitive gate, say six feet, allowing cars to enter and nothing higher, plus several concrete bollards along the grass bank to ensure nothing or nobody was able to get access without authority would take care of this problem.

I would be more than happy to make a donation towards its cost.
