Strum-thing good thanks to guitarist

A top local guitarist is heading to Whaplode this week to play a free gig.

Antoine Fleuriot is heading to The Elizabethan Centre Social Club this Saturday (March 5) and is set to perform his fantastic cover versions honed over decades of touring the country.
Doors at the Parsons Lane venue open at 7.30pm for the gig which is free to enter for all.
A spokesman for The Elizabethan Centre said: “Antoine will bring a fantastic blend of acoustic and electric guitar, rock and roll hits from the 60s right the way through to all out rock.
“They’ll be great tracks from artists such as Status Quo, AC/DC, Coldplay, Robbie Williams, Green Day, UFO, The Beatles and Oasis.”
With parents of English and French/Mauritian origin, Antoine describes himself as someone with a real passion for playing.
“I was born and gigged in various bands and styles in London, then worked in France, Holland and Norway, often busking my way around Europe,” he said. “When I moved back to England I was gigging in a band in Bristol and then relocated to Reading. I am now based in Lincolnshire.”
