St Nicolas Players are going forth after glory

St Nicolas Players are looking to build on their award-winning success when their latest production launches at the South Holland Centre next week.
They are producing Blackadder Goes Forth – The Darling Diaries which runs from Wednesday, October 19, until Saturday, October 22.
The performance comes on the back of winning the best drama gong at the recent regional National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) Awards in Loughborough.
It was for the Behind Closed Doors production, which highlighted domestic abuse, that they performed last spring.
Producer Alison Honeybun commented: “It’s a bit like the ‘Oscars’ for amateur dramatics societies so we were absolutely delighted.
“Our latest show features lots of the episodes and scenes adapted from the well-loved television programme Blackadder.
“But, because it’s the anniversary of World War I, we have adapted the show slightly to pay respects to the soldiers lost in this war.”
Tickets for the event, which starts at 7.30pm, cost £12 or £10 for over 60s, under 16s, disabled and carer.
