Spudtacular gift to hospital

A local food firm has given staff at the Johnson Hospital in Spalding baked potatoes to say thank you for their work.

AH Worth last week presented 250g of Potato Lovers Baking Potatoes for staff to take home.

The company was ably assisted in the gesture by haulage company Turners who waived the delivery charge.

AH Worth’s commercial manager Oliver Sneath said: “The hospital staff I spoke to in arranging the delivery were taken aback by our offer.

“They were incredibly grateful and looked forward to taking them home for their families to enjoy.

“I understand the hospital is working incredibly hard on a skeleton crew of only 30-40 staff and I’m sure any support that the community and local businesses are showing will help their morale massively.”
