Spalding United battle back for impressive draw at title-chasing Witton

Spalding United bounced back from going 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Witton Albion in Evo-Stik NPL First Division South on Thursday night.

A Tom Owens strike (32) gave title-chasing Witton a half-time lead – and they doubled their money when Will Jones netted eight minutes into the second period.

However, Leon Mettam (55) and Jordan Lemon (68) hit back for the Tulips as they clinched a point and strengthened their hold on third place.
