Spalding Spinners members in 1,000-mile ride across Britain

Members of a Spalding cycling group are taking on the Land’s End to John O’Groats ride next month.

Spalding Spinners’ Kev Gray, Jason Booth and Mark Orton will be doing the fundraiser with Surrey friends Mark Tierney and Adrian Pharaoh.
They start the ride on Friday, September 9, and expect to complete just over 1,000 miles in nine days – including a total of 52,500ft climbing.
Spalding rider Josh Wallis will join the group for six days of the venture.

The Spalding Spinners members will be raising cash for Mind and Breast Cancer Research, while Mark and Adrian are fundraising for Alzheimer’s Society.
The plan is to have a blog started, which will be updated with progress during the ride.

Jason works at Intercounty Truck and Van Ltd in Yaxley, which is providing a signwritten Mercedes support van and fuel.
