Spalding Rock ‘n’ Roll Weekender

The hottest rock and roll acts from across the country will set Springfields hopping at a red-hot rock and roll weekender.

This weekend (May 12 and 13), the Hot Rock n Boogie Weekender welcomes 13 bands and three DJs for two days of jiving and dancing at Springfields Events Centre.

The weekender is run by dance tutors Boston Jive, who have set Lincolnshire bopping for almost two years with their lessons and events across the region.

Now they are pooling the best acts in the country for a celebration of all things rockin’.

Bands appearing across the weekend include The Revolutionaires, The Houndogs, Phil Haley & His Comments, The Retrobaits, Hicksville Bombers, The B-Sides, Sharna-Mae & The Mayhems, The Failfins, Glenn Darren & The Krew Katz, Porky’s Hot Rockin, Eddie Martin & His Rhythm Cruisers, Relentless and Shane & The Korrados.

Between bands, DJs Miss Aloha, Mr Big Feet and Revered Boogie will keep the tempo up.

As well as music, there will also be free-to-use vintage fairground rides (including swingboats, children’s carousels and test your strength machines), classic cars, a vintage market and a stylist available to take haircuts back in time with a vintage style.

Saturday starts at 10am and runs into midnight.

Sunday also starts at 10am and wraps up at 11pm.

Wristbands will be issued so people are free to come and go as they please.

Day passes for adults cost £25 and weekend tickets are £44.

For 12 to 16-year-olds, child day passes cost £10 and weekend child tickets are £15.

Childen under 12 get in for free.

With the retro wave sweeping the nation, a 50s-themed rock and roll weekend is the perfect place to catch up with the craze.
