Spalding family’s tribute to ‘amazing husband and father’ who died on poultry farm

The family of a Spalding man who died in an industrial incident last week have paid tribute to him.

Neil Moon (49) was one of two men who died in the incident in Attleborough, Norfolk, on Thursday, October 4.

National media has reported that police are investigating a potential refrigeration gas leak close to where the bodies were found.

Mr Moon’s son said: “I will miss listening to his stories, my life will never be the same without him.

“He was my hero and the best father I could’ve ever asked for.”

Mr Moon’s daughter said: “The colours of the world may constantly change, but Dad, my love for you will always remain the same.

“I will miss him so much and cherish all the memories we had together.”

His wife said: “Neil was the most amazing husband and father. There are no words to describe the loss I feel.

“Life will never be the same again.

“Tonight there will be a brighter star in the sky.”

Police were called to Banham Poultry, Station Road, at about 1.10am on Thursday, October 4, following reports two subcontractors working on the site from a pest control company had been found deceased.

Mr Moon was found dead alongside colleague Jon Collins (34) from Whatton in Norfolk.

The outcome of the Home Office Post Mortems, which were carried out this week, are now pending further investigations.
