Spalding cadets’ race night raises money

Spalding Air Cadets have raised well over a thousand pounds through its Race Night.

Cadet Warrant Officer CWO Jordan Bertaloso (19) put on the event recently which raised a fantastic, £1,399 and proved to be one of the most successful events the 1406 (Spalding) Squadron has held.

The money will be split between The Royal Air Forces Association charity and the RAF Air Cadet squadron which is looking to expand its Corps of Drums, seen performing recently at the Spalding Remembrance Parade

Pilot Officer and Officer Commanding of the squadron, Marc Fowler (RAFAC), said: “Support from events such as the race night is integral to our success and our ability to develop our cadets, enabling us to provide training for immensely important life skills.”

CWO Bertolaso has now organised several Race Night events and is commended for helping raise just over £3,500.

He added: “I look forward to organizing several other events in the future and raising much more for these worthy causes.

“I’d like to say thank you to all who attended and all the companies that helped make the event possible.”
